Is there a catch to Amazon Underground?

Supposedly the apps are 100% free and so are any in-app purchases to Amazon customers. They will also pay the developer for the time anyone uses their app. So what's the catch? I mean how is Amazon making any money off of this?

You give them full tracking rights for everything. The deal is all your data for free apps.
