Is there a case as nice as the antec p180 for a lesser price?

I'd say the Antec Solo would be comparable. I haven't used either, but IIRC the solo is like the P180 without the door. It's going for $40 AMIR at frys.com

Antec Nine Hundred is going for $90 no rebate and $65 with MIR before Wednesday at CompUSA. Might be too much bling for some people but its got great airflow and no door. The P180/B is also on sale for $99 no MIR. I love my Nine Hundred though, paid $140 for it and would've had no regrets even if I didn't get the $50 price adjustment from this sale. :)

I've posted this in a couple of threads now - so i guess i'll post here as well as i think this CM aluminum case is up there as far as quality and elegance. It does have a door - but the door easily swings whichever way you would like it to, or you can easily remove it. But plenty of air gets through even with the door b.c of the build of the case, so i wouldn't worry about it.

So - here's what i've posted:

I don't know if you've picked up a case yet, but SVC has the Mystique 631 Aluminum Cases on clearance for half off. They're normally $100 cases and i have read a TON of reviews that say they are awesome cases for that $100 price tag. SVC has them for $45 before a $15 MIR = $30 AR right now. They also accept PayPal which means that you could get another $15 back from PayPal using the PayPal rebate (if you haven't used it yet).

They have either the Silver Model (the one i got), the Black Model, or the Black Model with a Window all for the exact same price.

These are definitely flashy, as they have a very cool look to them with the unique fronts, there is one model with a side window, and they come with 2 120mm fans, one of which is a blue LED fan (which lights up the front waves and looks very nice!)

I could not find a better case for the price and would recommend it for you as well. It's an awesome looking case with plenty of great features for an unbeatable price.

Hope it helps!

With the venting on the sides and the open space at the bottom, I don't think the door on the P180 presents a significant flow loss, especially with your fans on "LOW." If you goose them up, then it might be another story.

There's a thread about it in the Hot Deals forum foundhere

Apparently all you need to do is go here on PayPal's site and put in your PayPal email addy and you're automatically set up. Then just spend $30 or more on an item at a business that accepts PayPal (which SVC does) and you should receive the $15 in your PayPal account by the end of March.

Good Luck!

I agree completely; people just need to get it through their heads that you gotta pay to play. Personally, I wouldn't put my rig in anything other than an Antec (or maybe Silverstone) case.

I bought the mystique. I hope it is a nice case. I got it for 45 delivered with a rebate and hope the paypal rebate works to make it $30. That's not too bad for a $100 case. I have the P180 and just want to try something else. I looked at Bstock but when you figured in the shipping it was going to cost me 105 bucks.

I don't think you'll regret it. Not having owned the Antec case, i can't really comment on it. but i have nothing at all against the CoolerMaster Mystique case. It's the first build i've done where somewhere along the way i didn't end up cutting one of my fingers (yes, i know - clumsy). But i am getting cooler temperatures than with my steel case (very well ventilated steel case) and it's quieter as well.

I bought the mystique 631 from coolermaster as I had never used a coolermaster case. I am impressed with the metal doors and the solid construction. If you are familiar with this case the only problem I have with it is that sometmes there gets to be vibration noises from the hard drives because of the installation design. Does anyone know a way to correct this?

take some paper washers and stick them in the screw mounting holes to make the install a little tighter.

I have a mystique 632s
