Is there a bit torrent client that allows you to manage the number of outgoing connections?

I was downloading some Lost episodes last night and apparently my number of outbound connections went over 200 because the network admin for my dorm blocked my port. I guess between the 5 simultaneous downloads there were enough outbound connections to peers to go over the limit.

So...other than only downloading one or two things at a time, is there anything I can do about this?

Doesn't XP SP2 limit by default to 10 outbound connections, or is that "per port"?

Anyhow, Azureus has a function that will let you tweak the "max outbound connection attempts" in 2.2 - it comes set at 8 by default.

And one final thing - thank you for sharing/seeding and not being a leeching jackass.:D

I'm using Win2K, so I don't know.

Just got off the phone with him, turns out it was 949 simultaneous outbound connections!! :Q:Q:Q

Hmmm...I downloaded Azureus 2.2.0.0. CPU usage (javaw.exe is the culprit) has been sitting at 100% for a while now. And my free RAM dropped to almost nothing (I have 768MB and not much open). And it's not even downloading, even though the status is "downloading". I hope this isn't normal.

Edit: ABC is working fine.
