Is there a basic formula or program that gives AMD PR values?

All other cpu's have a number (i.e. 4400+). What would the FX line be considered? Is there a program that will give you this value even if approximated based on your current core clock and FSB settings? (if over clocked)

In theory you could just look up the most comparable Athlon 64 or X2 (the list on Wikipedia is good most of the time), bearing in mind the FX series have 1 MB of L2 cache for each core. Once you reach beyond the range of numbers AMD has actually used, it's pretty much all guesswork.

Hi, Some AMD processors are designated with numbers like 1400+ etc. They do not clock at 1.4 Gigs but the 1400+ clocks at around 900 MHZ. AMD's claim is that they process as fast as an Intel 1.4 Gig due to more efficient coding. There is not an exact formula. The easiest way to find out is to go to the maker's site or a Vendor's site and look up the model you are interested in. Some vendors list the actual Clock Speed.

Good Luck, Jim
