Amazing what a search engine can dig up.... 640 megs in 7 separate files (all are needed).

Yup, actually it was only released yesterday. The demo features Act 1. which is quite impressive ... completing act 1 of BG2 takes as much time as completing some other games in their whole.

Has anybody actually downloaded the demo?

Is it bug-free and worth it? Do any instructions come with it (I believe there is a 200 page manual with the full version)?

It's 640MB. It will take me 6 (over)nights on my dial-up.

u can get it on a cd from Computer Gaming World i think, i saw it a few weeks back at a magazine stand.
