Is their a proggie that will allow me to stream my MP3 collection over the net?

Besides using WME (Media Encoder 9) and using either Winamp or iTunes with a playlist, is there a program that will allow me to connect to my MP3 files, control the playback, and send/show the name of the artist/song that is currently playing?

Is this even possible?

what dont you like about using wmp9?

Look at his user name 😉 😛

WME is very limited in the fact that it will not send the song/artist/bit-rate, etc to the client/player. You also cannot control the file playback with WME. It's more of a linear product which is fine if you have no other audio apps running on the host PC.

nsafreak, checking out that site now.
