Is the XFX r7950 compatible with gigabyte ga 78lmt-s2p mobo?

I was just wondering because the XFX radeon 7950 seems like a beefy card for this micro atx mobo. Also while I'm here does this mobo support 1600mhz ram because it says upto 1333? And why is 1600 mhz ram about the same price as 1333? thanks for help.

Yes, it should work. It might run ddr3-1600, but if it's not listed as supported, you shouldn't assume it'll work.

They're priced similarly because it's the same stuff, more or less.

The GA-78LMT-S2P has a PCIe x16 slot, so yes the 7950 will work. DDR3 1600 RAM will also work, but you might have to downclock it to 1333MHz.
