Is the word "NEFing" the same as "flaming" someone?

This is the only forums I've been to that used the word "Nef". And, am I correct that nef is equal to flame?

Anyway, a nef is someone who posts useless posts simply for the purpose of upping their post count.

A good example of a nef post would be someone posting "just passing through" or "la la la" in this thread.

That was an excellent answer, Azraele.

But now, to prevent the inevitable smart-aleck from posting "la la la,"
