I heard a rumor that it isnt compatible. Im planning to upgrade my AMD k-6-III 450mhz to a AMD Duron 750mhz or 800mhz and i wanted to know if the Voodoo 2 will work with it. If it does work will i get a substatial increase in 3d games with the CPU upgade?

i really don't have good, conclusive info on this. but i bet if you check the recent anand article, K6-2 and K6-3 update (or something like that) AND the resulting forum regarding it, you MIGHT find your answer

I have a Voodoo2 SLI with my Duron system and haven't had any problems with it. I believe a Voodoo2 SLI is about the same speed as a Voodoo 3.

Oh I had a K6-3/450 before I upgraded too. Glide games play with a higher fps. In UT it plays flawlessly at 1024x768.

There's no such thing as processor not being compatible with a video card. However, motherboards might have issues with video cards. Voodoo2 should work on any imaginable motherboard, although for a Duron class system it's far too slow and will be a big gaming performance bottleneck.
