Hi!

I've just ditched my RADEON 64DDR in favor of an ELSA Gladiac, and was wandering if the VIDEO IN/OUT module from ELSA was any good. It's cheap, about 60,00$ here in Canada, but I wanted to ask on this forum before giving it a shot.

BTW, I loved the RADEON 64DDR, but under windows2000, driver support was (and still is) nothing spectacular. 2D quality is important to me, but I was told the ELSA had a excellent 2D. Anyways, 2D on the ELSA is better than with my ASUS V7700.

To the best of my knolege that does not exist. There is a tv out module you can purchase. Its about $40 from elsa, I saw it for $12 shipped in the for sale forums. The video out I have read is good, but you must use elsa drivers, which so far only use the nvidia 5.30 drivers, which I think sucks. Thats why I sold my card and purchased the Inno3d Geforce2pro 64mb, which for the $50 diffrence I got tv out(my orgional goal), and 32mb more and faster ram.

Garrett.

Just noticed you were in cananda, I dont know the conversions and all, those prices above are in the normal dollar.

Nope, there's definitely an Elsa VIVO module available. Costs around US$40, although it's a bit scarce. I'd seen two reviews of it and the highest score as I recall was 6/10. Had software issues and quality was average-ish. In short, it doesn't turn the Elsa into an All-in-Wonder. It may be better than nothing, though.

If the vendor has a decent return policy, give it a shot.
