I was looking for a good AMD cooler and I saw that one and it looked really cool, especially with with the TMD (Tip -Magnetic Driving fan), but I need to know if the cooler all around is good. I know that the fan has pretty good airflow and is pretty silent, I'm just wondering about the heatsink itself.

Thx for any info
Justin

There are quite a few reviews around. (search google.) I saw several very positive reviews that put it very high considering it had a moderate noise 5000rpm fan instead of a 7000rpm. Then I saw one where it not so good. This could be because it has a central copper core insert. If this is not joined perfectly to the surrounding aluminum, the heat transfer won't be good. Some may not be joined perfectly. So I wonder about it. At $32+ it better be good.

review = nothing special?

This reviewer found it cooled about the same as the stock P4 fan, but the P4 fan was quieter. Peculiar when other reviewers generally found it ranks with the best custom fans.

Thx man, but I'm not really interested in the perf of this unit with the P4 ... What really caught my attention in this review was this sentence:

I had noticed that performance of the AMD unit was admirable, with 5 to 7 degrees in overclocked cooling results.

thx anyways
