you must have read well between the lines of what i said, or decided what you read was something else. I never said anything about people being identical or cookie cutter. If you go around asking for more special treatment then anyone else, you are isolating yourself and there is no wonder you are treated poorly.

the implication of your rather stupid, thoughtless comment is that it is inappropriate, undesirable or harmful to acknowledge, appreciate, celebrate or draw attention to 'diversity'.

Because one person has annoyed me? No. Don't flatter yourself.

It doesn't seem to matter anymore if you support homosexuality unless you support it 100%. Idiots like you don't seem to be willing to let people say "yeah, i support your right to insurance, to power of attorney, and all that jazz, but not for marriage". But you see, that isn't good enough for you.

So you know what I'll do? I'll just vote against all that crap from now on and live happily with my wife. I'll leave the shoving up the ass for you.

What do you mean, "speaking out about being heterosexual or homosexual"? Are you referring to graphic discussions of sexual practices?

I mean there is a big difference between someone casually using the term life partner and someone loudly announcing they are gay, or straight. A big difference.

I don't have a problem with people discussing any aspect of their heterosexual sexual orientation. The fact that you think I do is just another sign that you don't comprehend what I am saying. You seem to have a fairly poor grasp of English as indicated by your poorly constructed, borderline-incomprehensible sentences.

Hey, reading comprehension genius, why don't you find where I said you did and then you can talk again. I'm the one with the problem with it, not you.

ding ding ding ding ding...actually that has been my point all along...

Being diverse is good and acceptable... except when it is done for the sole exclusive intent of attention whoring.

Mmm,, perpetual virgin.

As far as the OP. It's not that gays are out of the "limelight" it's that gays got so outrageous in trying to flaunt their "gayness" that the only way they can do it and be on TV is if they are on cable. Shows like the L Word is all about gays.
And lets just face it, there can only be so many gay jokes that can be shown on TV that are funny and not offensive, because when the offensive ones are done you'll be up in arms demanding the show to be canceled because it made fun of you.

I'd rather watch DBZ or Family Guy than QAF, OZ, GEFTSG, Will and Grace, or any other gay themed shows.

As for people getting on to you about mentioning your life, don't worry about it.
If you didn't mention it someone would bring it up for you...lol.

Well speak for yourself! LOL I like watching the girl on girl action ... heh heh heh

I think it is a double standard personally that heterosexuals can display sexual contact openly in public, hold hands, show having sex on tv, but the gay man or woman cannot because the majority of the public views it as immoral, and then accuses them of flaunting their sex in front of everyone, when in fact the heterosexuals do it everyday. We are bombarded with sex in the media and everywhere by the heterosexuals and yet the get grossed out and accuse the gays of doing this. What a turn about that is.

yes, but heterosexuality is normal and natural ... homosexuality is not.

It can also be said that females eating the male after procreation is natural and normal.
Just because it happens in nature doesn't mean it has anything to do with humanity.
We have in a way transcended what is natural and normal in this world.
Half the people I know are on meds, the other half probably need them more and don't take them. We use condoms and birth control and have vasectomies and abortions.
If you want to go back to natural and normal you need to go back to ignorance and innocence. So beat on your chest, mark your territory with urine, grab a woman by the hair and rape her because that's what is natural and normal to most mammals.

dikes eating eachother out is definitely not normal or natural, but it is damn hot and entertaining!

Zysoclaplem ... when has humans eating their children ever been natural or normal?

also just because half your friends are on meds, and the other half probably should be, doesn't mean that's how most people in the world are. hell i don't even know 1 person who is on any form of medication other than myself, and it's because I have asthma. Sure I could be natural and not use an inhaler, but then I would be struggling to live. Also, me using an inhaler in public doesn't bother anyone.

In nature, the female black window will often times eat the male after he fertilizes her eggs.
In nature...this. In nature...that.
Natural is no longer a term that should be used when describing human beings.
In nature the strongest and smartest survive. In humanity, we keep the weak and broken alive. You would be surprised who is on what. I guess I am kinda snoopy when I go in someone's bathroom.

The fact is, we have moved away from the natural approach at life. I'm tired of people complaining that homosexuality is not normal or natural.

Is oral sex normal and natural. Some say yes, some say no. It serves no purpose other than pleasure. Pleasure is a very natural and normal feeling IMO.

My brother was born with a learning disability. I was not. Is he normal and natural? Am I?

Before you claim something is not normal and is not natural, consider this.

What is normal and natural? Is normal and natural defined by the majority opinion?
Or nature itself?

Okay I see where you are coming from and what you are saying, but I just have to say this ...

The whole idea in the long run behind a relationship is to reproduce offspring. The way that is done is through having intercourse with a person of the opposite sex. One of the benefits of this is that it feels great.

So sure while having sex (hetereo, oral, homo, etc) feels good and is a great pleasure, the whole reason it exists is to reproduce, and that is just not possible when you have a homosexual relationship.

So in that sense, that's what I mean when I'm saying being homosexual is not "normal" or "natural".

In my personal opinion, I have no problem with it at all. I was simply trying to state why some people have problems with it. My cousin is "confused" and we've all along, ever since we were children (he's 1 year older than me) and he was playing with My Little Pony's and girls toys, had a feeling about him being gay. But do I have any problem with it? Not at all.

Don't know, but I certainly am.

I'm sick of in-your-face aggressive gays approaching everybody, and going out of the way to make a splash. Reaching, striving to provoke a reaction.

We're sitting at a stop light in Santa Cruz & a lezzy walks up to the passenger window & started yelling at my babe to come with her.

Visit a relative in Palm Springs & they run about everything in the town, in yer face as aggressively as they can be.

I understand that many reading here were processed through the public school system in which kids are indoctrinated into accepting that as just another healthy lifestyle choice. But it isn't.

I'm NOT a homophobe, but I AM sick of the big PC faddishness of it, and the strident efforts of many to make it public.

Our bodies do use pleasure to lure us into reproducing, I agree.
But reproduction is no longer a need. It's an option.
With the invention of contraceptives we are no longer required to have children and it's perfectly acceptable.
If I ever feel the need to have children I will. But I will not be beguiled into having a child by my desire to alleviate my sexual frustration.

As for what I find attractive, I have no idea why I find males attractive and not females.
It feels normal to me. If it floats your boat, then set sail. That's my motto. Perhaps I am just a hedonist, or at the very least, content with myself.
