Alright, I'm truly proud to be an American, and I'm proud of my country and feel as if the United States allows me the most freedom and the best chance to suceed to whatever level I would like to achieve. I look at other countries and don't understand how people could love their country so much. Do people in other countries view their country as being the best? and its simply each governments job to try to instill that national feeling of pride into their people?

i heard a comedian once say, that the people who claim the us is the best country in the world are usually the ones who have never been to another country.

in my opinion, i dont think so. what makes it the best?

I think so, we say we value freedom here so that means that some of the people with power in this country actually believe in freedom, and hopefully will keep it great.

I think according to an independant study, the US ranks 5, i think Canada was three and Either Denmark or the netherlands (some cold norwegian place) was number one. Of course the fact that it's an isolated socialistic place helps, and low population so they have free healthcare and 100% literacy etc...

Any developed country has good stuff and bad stuff.

I think the USA stacks up well against the rest of the world.

america is the best for quantity and price of food, and the ability to make money, that is all.

That fact that something is free doesn't make it best.

The fact that I can choose is better than the government paying all my medical costs and forcing me to go to a specific doctor.
