Is the thermal diode in the P4 used with i845D boards?

Yeah so do the i845-D motherboards use the thermal diode inside the P4 and display it's status back to the bios? Or has that not yet be implemented?

Thanks

Pentium 4 boards have almost always done so.....ever since late Pentium IIs has this capability been available.

Really that far back? I thought you had to use one of those wire thermometer's that connected to the motherboard with the P2/P3's...

Thanks for the reply.
