Is the the worst job on a cover song ever?

I clicked on the "Metal" music channel on cable today, and heard a familiar riff. I thought "Cool, someone did "You Shook Me All Night Long" from AC/DC".

NOT cool. The band is Six Feet Under, and this has to be the worst cover song I've ever heard, and I've heard some bad ones.

Anyone heard this? If you haven't, don't bother....even if you like the current crop of no-talent, growl/scream-with-no-melody-at-the-top-of-your-lungs crap that's called heavy metal today, you probably will think this cover sucks.

I'm missing the days when heavy metal dudes were high-pitched singers who could actually SING, rather than just growl with no tone.

There was this show on VH1 the other night where it showed Celine Dion and Anastacia doing a cover of AC/DC at some awards show or something. Now THAT was the worst cover ever!

Yeah, that was bad, but at least those two can actually sing. Listen to this crap band's cover and you'll change your mind.

Wasn't that a Zeppelin tune?

That is such a horrible cover. I almost puked when I first heard it, I think they also do another AC/DC cover.

Six Feet Under sucks for the most part though, I only like a few of their songs.

I didn't particularly enjoy Perfect Circles cover of Lennons Imagine.

I was waiting for that, people either love or hate that cover. I think they did a great job. They just put their own spin on the tune. I wouldn't say it's BAD though. Actually I really liked it, and the tone is set really well with the video.

Goddangit. I can't even get work done now. That's the stupidest thing I've ever read. AAAAHHHHHH!!!! I can't get over it. That's like someone talking about "Sureshot" from the Beastie Boys, and you coming and saying, "Wasn't that a Beatles tune?"

Dammit. Music's all but free now. Can't you listen to enough to know the difference between what Zeppelin would sing and what AC/DC would sing?

Agreed (except the part about the video as I haven't seen it). I don't like the concept of the album (covers of anti-war songs to make an album that's anti-war), but I can't say that wasn't a well-done song.

I wish bands would stop ruining classic rock. I heard Korn's cover of Pink Floyd the other day... That sucked balls.
Yep, that one's bad, as is the cover of The Who song by LB. I wonder who is was that ever told Fred Durst he had a shred of talent?

I saw someone mentioned Sheryl Crow's cover of Sweet Child 'O Mine from GnR. It wasn't great, but it was nowhere near as bad as the AC/DC cover I mentioned at the top.

Really, everyone who doubts this, find the song and listen to it. You will believe.
