Just recently ordered this with a PIII 700e. Should I send it back?? I have been hearing bad things abpout it lately..

There are no bad thing about Abit Sloket !!!....it is mostly user errors.

Here is my system which use Abit Sloket !!!:

Asus P3V4X v 1.05

Abit Sloket!!! is a great product. ;)

MSI is better. I test lots and lots of cpus for overclocking and resale. I have had CPUS that would not overclock and give BSOD, only to have them work on MSI.

I can't agree with them being a good slotket, I've tested them all the Abit is the worst, outside of generic.

I prefer the Iwill Slocket II over the Abit III. Solid construction and the very handy long jumpers. The Abit feels a bit flimsy but its ability to shed the outer casing is convenient even though I've had to do it. There was a slight reboot issue with the abit in an abit vt6x4 but a bios flash resolved it.

Compuwiz, I'll certainly defer to your experience w/ the MSI Slotket, but compared to the other available slotkets, they are (at least for me) difficult to locate. Where does one find the MSI slotkets? Do you sell them?
