Is the TEAC CD-W58A an OEM version of one of their other drives?

I ask this because I put one in my friends new machine today and went looking for newest firmware. TEAC does not even list this drive on their site. The drive I have is actually a Cendyne but is says TEAC on the label. Does anyone know where I can get upgraded firmware for this drive?

Are there any "neat" tricks for this drive to make it a "better" burner?
