Possibly if it runs at default voltage. Any voltage increase is going to create heat. Personally, I use at least a Golden Orb. What's $15 or $16 to protect your investment in your CPU?

Mine does 931 with stock heatsink and fan at 1.65v, but only detects 208 of the 256mb ram on board. I think the place that that sold me my 133 memory awhile back pulled a fast one on me.

i bought my P3 700@933 from bonkers325. he guaranteed it at 1.80v.

i got to bump it to 980 at 1.75v with the Gorb. so i think the Gorb is good bangs for bucks.

I can run my 700E at 980 as well with a Gorb and Arctic Silver but i like to be a little safe and thought i'd bring it back down to 959 :)
the Gorb is awesome with an 80MM fan blowhole my CPU stays at 33C MAX and 31C idle!

I am running a PIII 700@966 with stock HSF + Radio Shack heatsink compound. I have to raise to 1.85V to run stable but with no heat problem. 256MB RAM post as 256MB. I think if you want to hit 1G, you better off with aftermarket HSF.

Those of you with Golden Orbs - are they loud at all? Can you hear them outside of the case?
