Is the stock AMD heatsink pad toxic?

So I was trying to get the thing off so I could use the heatsink for an amplifier, and I tried brushing it with some toothpaste and brush. Is that thing toxic to the point that I should chuck the toothbrush? It seemed to rinse out pretty well.

Heck, that requires a trip to the store. Besides, I have another one; I just use this one once a day because it has stiffer bristles in order to get the majority of the goop off the ol' teeth; the other one is softer and for the gums in the morning.

So anyway, is it toxic or no??

Why take the chance? Just get a new one or use the other one. If you really want to try, just lick it off of the hsf.

I read an email the other day that stated that injesting that stuff would add 4 inches to your weiner.

Seriously, I think it is toxic.
These heat pastes often contain very, very small metal or metal oxide particles.
Small enough particles to go straight through the skin, and walls of blood vessles, whatever.
Toxic metals. Particularly in the rather concentrated quantities you could be exposed to.
I believe the general recommendation is to avoid even skin contact with heat paste.
