Is the Speakeasy speedtest site wonky for anyone else?

I have a 10mb pipe and when I use Speakeasy (from the LA server) it shows me between 2 and 7mbps.

When I use Charter's speedtest site (speedtest.charter.com) I get about 10 every time.

What's the deal?

Do you "have" a 10mb pipe or do you "pay for" a 10mb pipe? Could be a big difference. Try speedtest.net and see if you get the same results. If you do, then you might want to contact your ISP and say you're not getting the connection that you're paying for. At work I consistently get 1450kb with our T1. At home when I had 1.5mb DSL (technically "up to 1.5mb"), I consistently got 1280kb on SpeakEasy. Now with "up to 3mb" I get 2650kb.
