He's objecting to voting on blocs of promotions under unanimous consent. His solution of "well just vote on each of them" isn't a solution because it would basically stop all other work on the Senate floor for months. The Pentagon should recommend his bases for closure/realignment, other states would be happy to have them.
Ah i see now, thx

I've seen some interesting posts lately that Tuberville's game is not so much for abortion, but to keep those military positions open for Trump to fill with loyalists if he wins.

I don't think Tuberville is that smart, but people that have Tuberville's ear and bank account would be.

I noticed @pcgeek11 calked TT an idiot

Trump is the same kind of idiot and it didn’t stop @pcgeek11 voting for him. And he wonders how we know he would have voted for TT

It doesn’t take a crystal ball

Well that’s the worst reason I’ve heard - so it’s probably right.

You love him the same reason you love DeSantis. RS is cancelling black history and books by black authors.

Your kinda guys! You all have something in common.
Also, a great way to leave openings for the Orange Menace to fill if he get reelected.

IMO the good people of AL will most likely re-elect him because his Democratic opponent once missed a stick of gum at the self-checkout or some other bothsides.

Yup, totally front-hugged a friend, dq’d

Democracy at work huh. The voters get to choose their representatives, you don't get to have a say unless your allowed to vote in that district.

Doesn't matter if they reelect him if they fix the issue where he can't repeat this nonsense.

Good. Now they need to fix this so that it doesn't happen again. Hopefully that asshole will get voted out soon.
Yeah the whole thing seemed rather pointless, I suppose his ultimate goal would be allow 2nd term Trump place these folks, which is pretty concerning imo.
Won’t get fixed shit like this goes on and on and on.

Tuberville is relatively sane compared to Gaetz MTG and Bobo isnt he…. Imagine the damage they could do in the Senate :).

Damage has been done. You'll have fewer qualified candidates sticking it out for promotions and more good officers jumping to the private sector or public office. Plenty of money to be made in defense contracting.
