Is the Senate preparing to bake a potato.

Senator Tuberville's or as I like to call him Senator Tumorville's obstruction of Defense funding has become dangerous to national security in the opinion of some, and has elicited a call for action:

This is where the insistence on one's personal code of ethics not grounded in reality seems to have created a rare example where liberal opposition may start taking the gloves off. How did we get to the point that some brain dead fanatics like Trump or Tuberville can present such a profound national threat? Is massive condemnation the best fix?

Place it on the Senate floor for a vote. To hell with a committee that does nothing.

^^^ Tubby says that's what he wants .... to force a vote.

Schumer says that's too cumbersome and time consuming. Not sure why if it would put Tubby in his place.

I'd at least do it for the three Joint Cheifs spots and the top spots for each service branch.

People shitting on pcgeek don't realise tuberville is blocking military appointments, and I suspect pcgeek is pro military and regardless of party affiliation he'll bitch about the dumbass who's blocking critical appointments.

And you have a crystal ball. LOL
It's not that they see anything. It's that bigots are full of hate and rationalize to demonize others. Any evidence that you don't fit the stereotype of a right wing racist they put you in would cause them to feel guilt and shame, and we can't have that. I believe that what you said is your real opinion 100%.

I’m pointing out that people like geek say that they support things and then toss those things to the side whenever it suits them. Voting for trump twice means you’re pretty much in the tribe for life
Don't ever use the word pcgeek and toss in the same sentence. Think I'm going to lose my lunch now.

Add Aunt Nan to the list of reason for term limits.
Yea, I'm disappointed. I thought her not running for the minority leader signaled she probably wouldn't run for another term. No amount of hair salon time, or Botox can hid signs of aging. Why do people think they are irreplaceable? Her seat is safe for the Dems. Just go out with dignity and not have some uncomfortable moments.

I'm assuming that's referring to Nancy Pelosi's announcement today that she will run for reelection. I found there's a separate thread for this subject already.
Yes and a most reverent referral at that doubtless from someone of her equal stature.

rather odd how one man on a committee can hold this shit up, without having read into this much, why is that?

He's objecting to voting on blocs of promotions under unanimous consent. His solution of "well just vote on each of them" isn't a solution because it would basically stop all other work on the Senate floor for months. The Pentagon should recommend his bases for closure/realignment, other states would be happy to have them.
