Sure it looks.. great..
Has an FM Tuner..
Has the RIO800's large LCD.. very nice.
ANd crappy headphones.

Should I get it?
Is there a better value?

Also, where can I buy this unit in Canada?

Unless you are planning to use it to go jogging then I think it is a good purchase. Or if you can wait for a while then wait for the IRiver slimX, it looks pretty good.

<< Any RioVolt is worth it. But wait for sp300 >>

I never heard anything about an sp300.

Anyway, Phuz, thsi place has the sp250 for $265CDN. The people that rated the place on computers canada gave it a 3/3 and mentioned that you dont pay any tax, since the place is located on a reserve....

Err, theres a good reason to NOT buy mp3 player.

The SP250 has an optional LCD remote, but comes with a regular one.
The SP250 already but the Rio800 large LCD in the thing, why do you need more lcds? Batteries aren't meant for 2 lcds.

The slimX isn't very nice. I've had side/button mounted stuff before and unless you have it on hold all the time you can't even put it in your pocket.

That sp350 or whatever looks pretty sweet. I was thinking about getting an mp3 cd player, but now I am leaning towards getting an mp3 jukebox. Actually I want this one when it gets released. It looks pretty sweet to me... what do you think of it?

Atlantean, I was all for some sort of HD based system, but they are truly NOT the way to go.

They have HORRENDOUS battery usage. Its a harddrive.
They can be prone to data corruption, ect because its just a laptop harddrive. Would you just chuck your laptop In your bag, or pocket? No. These units are far to small to take the shock that a laptop can.

Yeah good point, but that one gets 10 hours of battery life, and it uses rechargables, so that is one of the main reasons that I am thinking of getting it, and the fact that it can play movies is a plus, though I doubt I would use it very often because the screen is pretty small.

If they say 10 hours, realistically you are looking at 6-8.

:)

Thats horrible!
I need at least 12-16hrs.
