Is the RAZER Copperhead really worth $60?

Copperheads are for fingertip gamers... if you are one they work amazingly well. I'm not, so I like the logitech mx518 personally, but try one out at like bestbuy or something and see which one feels best. Mice are a personal preference, unlike most other pc components.

Yea i know what you mean. But they are no local stores that sell these. Plus it has the ability to go from 400/800/1000/2000 DPI on they fly with out having to restart the comp.

Well i found it at circuit city for $67. And i am in luck, because it is a $5 min walk to there. 🙂 I guess i will find out in the morning if it is worth it, and i will let you guys know.

Hey, it was late. But if anyone has any reason to not to keep it let me know i am going to get it with in 10 mins, HA i did not put the dollar sign that time.... 🙂

I think you can change the scroll speed. You can on my ms intellimouse explorer... check the control panel.

Just get the Logitech G5, you will never regret it. It feels much better and more natural in the hand, costs about the same, and it's quality and durability has been proven over and over. IMO

Agreed. I just bought the G5 for $45 at CC this past weekend and I love it. Just the right amount of buttons. Great feel to the structure. The setpoint software let's you cutomize anything you want. But most importantly this thing is precise, great for both gaming and photoshop work.

My only complaint is the positioning of the 'back' button. I find that it sits too high up above where your thumb rests and i barely use it sometimes. Other than that this mouse is excellent for the price.

The mouse can often define how you play, with Logitechs the most comfortable way to use it is with your palm/wrist. For Razer the opposite tends to be true. When I switched from my MX510 to the Copperhead, I had about a week of adjusting (and struggled much), but afterwards its all love.

However I'm interested in the Habu (basically a palm/wrist version of the Copperhead, a joint project by Razer and Microsoft - MS gets their name on it)

If you're good enough to learn the different styles of mouse control, you can benefit from either scheme as finger mice tend have advantages in twitch control and palm more smooth and even. RTS, FPS, RPG...each gametype or even game styles within each type can respond differently to each type of control

Although it appears the OP went with the MX518, which certainly isn?t a bad choice ? easily one of the best optical mouse options on the market
