Would a radion 9000 be better than my pny GeForce3 Ti200 64DDR? Also, does ATI support the 1400x1050 resolution with its drivers?

keep the GeForce3. The Radeon 9000 is made to compete with the GeForce4 MX, which is worse then a GeForce3. The Radeon 8500/LE is better then the 9000/9000pro.

The main difference between the RADEON 9000 PRO and the RADEON 8500 is that the former only has 1 texture unit per pixel pipeline whereas the latter has 2. Most games take advantage of 2 texture units (multi-texturing) so it's an important feature.:)

obviously if you only care about getting a card with no fan, you have limited choices.. get the 9000 in that case..

the 9000 is not really slow.. doom3 will destroy it, but you can play anything else on it relatively good.
