Is the quietpc.com Socket A Cooler enough for a non-overclocked TBird 700?

I followed a link on their page last nite to a review of the quietpc cooler against the Gorb. The Gorb won, and I really don't consider it a good Socket A cooler. There are better quiet coolers out there, the retail HSF probably cools just as well and isn't that loud.

I've never heard of them... and for 23 quid I wouldn't go for something I've never heard of - go with a Golden Orb for much cheaper or an Alpha for about the same.

Could you recommend a cheap Cooler? And it has to be as quiet as possible, cuz my FOP32-1 is killing me....

The Taisol or Vantec I would imagine. There is always the Orb, the silver version for the Socket A. It's not best cooler for overclocking, but does a decent job for everyday use.

I'm using that cooler on my Duron 800. It's the Molex brand (you can check it out at www.molex.com and actually order from a US dealer, if you want).

According to Glenn from QuietPC.com the fan is rated to Thunderbird 1 GHz.

Since you're not OC'ing, I recommend you to get this product. Especially if you get irritated by noise like I do, you'll love it. However, it's not the most efficient cooler out there.
