Yesterday I finally managed to get the wife to A-B some speakers. The sales person managed to get the Polk HTIB & M10 +Sub to work and we really liked the M10?s. I was trying for the R15 because of the occasional specials at Fry?s.

So I?m at the Polk site and it looks like the R15 & M10 might be the same speaker except for minor cosmetics. Can anyone confirm?

That is very hard to say.

My neighbor got a deal on some polks (that didn't exist on their website) and it turned out they were the "european" model # of some other model that exists here.

If you look at the PDF docs on the polk site for those 2 speakers, one lists a 3.0 khz crossover, the other a 3.2. One is also .4 pounds heavier, but it's not clear if they just rounded to the next highest number. Even then the specs sure look close, down to power handling, freq response, etc.

BUT - With speakers, even two visually identical drivers could have pretty dramatically different specifications... they probably use the same wood box, but everything else... ??
