Is the Pentium u5600 better than the SU4100? (Both dual core)

My old 11.6" laptop has a su4100 chip. i use it for travel.
My dad wants a small laptop to surf while at the coffee shop.

There's a 11.6" u5600 on sale for $225. i was going to give him the slower laptop.

even tho the su4100 is an older chip, it had 4x the L2 cache (2meg vs 512k). same L1 cache amount.
Does more L2 cache outweigh the newer architecture?

Not when it's this big a difference in architectures.

You may also notice the L3 cache.

The u5600 is the better chip.
