is the pal 8150 compatable with socket 939?

just want to make absolute sure because the manual only mentions socket 940, no mention of socket 939 anywhere, and the newegg description does not specify sockets- just says it's for 'athlon 64' processors.

also, the motherboard came with some kind of plastic mounting piece i guess designed for amd's stock HS, just remove it and use the metal base for mounting hs right?

thansk, it's been a while since i've done this so i'm just trying to be absoutely sure i dont mess up
 
The manual only mentions Opteron, because of date. But, it is really universal K8 heatsink. The sockets change, but the mounting mechnanisim is the same.
