Is the original matrix going to be in theaters again?

Yeah it might be cool but how many people are going to pay $8 to go see it when they can rent it for 5 days for $4?

I was going to have a party at Scott Hall, actually. Watch the movie, watch the trailers maybe.

Maybe I should rephrase. Most Matrix fans already have the DVD. Who would pay $8 to see a movie they have on DVD at home? I wouldn't.

There's a theater near me that has a "midnight movie" every Friday and Saturday night. They show old movies like Goonies, Pi, cult classic stuff that's probably available on DVD, or at least VHS. Why would people pay $5 to go to that?

Holy sh!t $5?!! If you go there you're getting ripped bud. There's a theater here that plays old movies like that for $1.

FWIW.

I own the DVD and have a nice HT.

BUT

I would pay $20 to sit in a theater that was half-full with ONLY adults over 25 years old to watch the original Matrix blasted at high volume. Unless you got da big bucks, nothing compares to a real theater. :)

Sure it doesn't play more current movies that are out of major theaters but not to video yet?

I have a respectable HT setup, and I've seen it a few times on DVD... But if it were re-released in the theatre before the sequal, I'd definitely go see it.

It should be....We've waited way too long for the sequel. Wasn't it released in like 98 or 99?

Okay...so maybe some wouldn't pay to see it in the theater. But would anyone pay to see it at an IMAX theater? I saw it at an IMAX a little while after it came out...ohh...so sweet.
