Is the onboard RAID on the C224 chipset decent enough for a server?

I'm planning on building a new Windows server at work and I intend to use this Supermicro 1U server.

For storage I plan on using a couple of SSDs in a mirror (RAID1).

It is going to be used as a domain controller in a 20+ workstation domain and run MSSQL Server for ~20 people that use a CAD application.

So the question is: does anyone have any bad experiences with the latest integrated RAID controllers from Intel? I'd like to avoid the added expense of a dedicated RAID controller.
