It should be 2x/4x. At least mine was. Unless it's a PCI version.

I beleive a lot of t hem were 2x. Mine was 2x AGP. Some TNT2 Ultras had 4X AGP compatibility, but a lot didn't.

Yup it should be backwards compatible with AGP 2X. It's only the other way that doesn't work - a 3V card (eg old Rage cards, etc) can screw up an AGP 4X port.
