Is the New Orleans Airport back up yet?

I seem to remember engineers (and SEALS?) headed to the airport to get it back running again. Any luck in getting it back up?

Seems like river boat rescues, taking residents back to the airport, and flying them out on empty cargo jets that brought in supplies might be more efficient than helicopter rescues. Plus I pity the idiot who shoots at these things

I'd read it would be weeks. It's open for the relief effort only at this point.
