I?m interested to know to, also how does the weight of the MX-1000 compare to the MX-500? I know it'll be heavier because of the battery but was the change bothersome to anyone?

I went from a MX700 to a MX1000. Its definatley lighter. I think because of the lithium ion battery.

would you recomend the mouse over the MX-700? I have the MX-700 and have been looking to buy the MX-1000.

Doesn't bother me. I went from a 500 to the 1000.

yea it woud seem to cuz of the batteries. the 700 uses aa's, and the 1000's lithium ion lasts many times longer.

Keep in mind that Li-Ion battery that the MX1000 uses isn't replaceable...just make sure that if/when the battery goes dead in a couple of years that Logitech will replace it for you under warranty. Or is the warranty only 1 year?

these guys are upgrading from an mx700, they wont keep the mx1000 for years :)

anywho, Id say mx700 if your into games - heavier is better for gaming

D

P.S. would you guys send me your old mx700s after you upgrade ? mine is scratched :( [j/k]

I don't think I'll buy one until LogiGamer or something else is available for re-mapping the keys on a per-program basis.
