is the Logitech G7 laser mouse still a viable mouse now

I found a brand new one in closet and was wondering if it stands up to the current mice like the mx1100?

Mice are very subjective. If you like it, then it's usually the best for you.

Objectively the G7 sensor is a bit rubbish, but all the laser mice sensors are. As laser mice goes its OK but laser mice in general aren't all that accurate. Its also a wireless mouse so its heavy and has more latency.

Of the historically mice I was really upset when my G7 started messing about, I actually played really well with it and really liked it. But knowing what I do now about mice and how they are meant to function it wasn't very good. Depends on what you are looking for.
