Is the Lincoln Aviator a rebadged Ford Explorer?

Explorer : Aviator :: Tahoe : Escalade

Aviator comes with the 302hp V8, and aside from that and a few extra options, they're essentially the same.

Yes the Aviator is a rebadged Explorer but you'd be hard pressed to tell that they were based off the same platform. I don't own either but I've driven both and the Aviator is MUCH better. If no one told you they were based off the same platform, you would never know the Aviator had "cheap" underpinnings. If you're in the market for a SUV, I would recommend that you check out the Aviator. Used ones are pretty cheap considering what they cost brand new. In my area, I believe they go for ~23k with maybe 15-20k miles. Definately a much better buy than getting a new Explorer.

Did you fail your SAT's?

Did you?

Ford makes both Ford and Lincoln vehicles
GM/Chevy make Chevy/GMC and Cadillac

Something I missed?

Escalade = Avalanche? I've seen several people convert their Avalanche to the Escalade.

Yes and Yes

There are three different Escalade models
EXT which is the Avalanche
regular which is based off of the Tahoe
ESV which is based off of the Suburban

how about apologizing for ASSUMING someone knew less than you?

you didn't have to know what the symbols meant if you assumed the poster knew what he was posting about. then it would have just made sense.

Do I know him?
no
Do I know if he knows about cars?
no

Started off with a question about cars that were rebadged and he posts a list of cars that are not all rebadges of the same car
that was what I was replying too

If someone came in an read this thread that didn't know about cars they would probably think that was what he was saying
