Is the KT7's sound really this bad?? *fixed*

I just got around to trying out the audio on my MSI KT7 Pro2-A... Uhhhhhgggg, I could barely make out the windows sound through all the hissing and popping. I've tested the speakers with a portable CD player so I know they work fine... what could the problem be??? Or is that how they all sound

edit: nevermind, aparrently it doesn't like my CD-ROM drive!
