Is the i5 3570K running too hot?

I bought an i5 3570K about 2 weeks back and even at idle it's running at 45-50 C (stock clocks). My question is if this is alright. I previously had an AMD Phenom x4 9550 running at a max of 35 C at full load.

Should i get an aftermarket cooler? or is the temperature ok?

Thanks

When I had my i5-3570k on stock cooler it was at 35 C idle, everything at stock.

Just sharing my experience :)

The idle temps don't really matter, especailly with stock intel fan setup (which will allow higher temps to keep noise down). Looks at load temps. IF those are ok then your fine. Stock Intel setup will probably allow low mid 80's C for load temp. If you are not going over that it is fine. If you plan to overclock a decent aftermarket cooler would be a good investment.
