Is the hibernation feature problematic?

Meaning even on a fresh install of Windows, with all hardware tested and checked out, it still not able to get out of hibernation once in a great while? Is that normal or should a computer ALWAYS be able to get out of hibernation?

I usually hibernate all the time but every few days the hibernation craps out and I have to do a full shut down.

Yeah someone I know has been having that problem and I explained to them that it's actually quite common to have that happen. They say they can go x amount of days without having to do a hard shut down but sometimes they will have to hard shut down.

When in those incidents, it comes instantely out of hibernation and I get some windows resource error, then I shut down as to not damage the OS. Still beats standby mode which takes more power than hibernation ( I pay a lot for electricity 🙂 )
