I am looking to get a graphics card and would like to get the best money can buy.
I understand the GeForce3 ultra may be out soon, but the initial price is going to be pricey, and could take up to 6 months to come down.

assuming you are a gamer? Then yes, GF3 is the best right now.

If your not a gamer, ATI is the best for image and 2D quality.

I'm assuming you mean "the best for gaming." If so, you're answer is yes. If you're looking at a video card for CAD/CAM and graphics, there are cards like the 3DLaBS Oxygen that cost about $2,000 (not a misprint!). That would be the best for that application.

yes it is for Gaming.
Anandtech reviewed GeForce3 cards recently,
the Gainward CARDEXPERT came tops for budget and includes TV in/out, DVI-out,
For VIVO cards the VIVO Gainward won,
NVIDIA's Personal Cinema is the SUMA Platinum GeForce3, was the winner for those looking for a TV tuner on their GeForce3.
I don't know much about cards, but would like the TV in/out and the ability to link the video recorder - DVI or VIVO?
What benefits are DVI?

The GF3 is hands down the BEST right now bar none! ATI's RadeonII will be out in a few month, but unless they make some changes it doesn't look like it will keep up with the GF3 in games although it could rival it in 2D. KYROIII is also coming up and may prove to be a competitor but so far prelim. B/M's seem to be mixxed on it........
