Is the Geforce FX 5600 Ultra a decent card?

I know the 5800 Ultra is very loud and annoying but besides that the performance is on par with the 9700. What about the Geforce FX 5600 256MB and the Geforce FX 5600 Ultra. Are these decent cards as well? (they aren't loud hehe)

Right now it looks like the 9600pro is quite a bit faster than the 5600U. extremtech ?

On the overall score, it becomes pretty clear that our concerns about an artificially wide gap between R9600 and GFFX 5600 were unnecessary, because here in our games-based tests, the R9600 holds a 30% lead in the overall score versus the GFFX 5600, and this lead is considerable.

3DGG uses 8 game tests. Nvidia updated the drivers for the 5600 and it is now showing better against the 9600 (close, maybe a little slower), but I don?t know if the performance increases are the result of some more driver hacks where image quality suffers, or even more Nvidia benchmark cheating. We will have to wait for some new reviews from the hardware sites with new benchmarks to make a good judgement here. If the 5600 is 30% back of the 9600, it?s not going to be a very good card at all.
