Is the Gameboy Micro compatible with DS games?

My nephew has a Gameboy Micro and has asked for a DS game for Christmas. I want to make sure that DS games will work with his Micro.

So, are they compatible?

On a related note, I overheard some poor mother on the phone in Gamestop the other day. She had just waited in a long line, then called her kid to tell him that the Gamestop employees said Ace Combat 6 wasn't made for the PS3. The kid insisted that it was, so she got in the long line again. :Q
