Is the fundamental nature of reality discrete or a continuum?

I think I would have asked the question like this.

"Is the continuum of reality ultimately discreet, or is the limit of our intellect which causes it to appear that way?"

In other words we define the limit of what is comprehensible as the Planck scale. Is that an absolute point where physics breaks down or is it merely our inability to grasp what comes next?

Do the "cracks" have qualities which are fundamentally beyond our grasp?
