I have this teacher at school who thinks mac's are a lot more stable than pc's
and he says they are faster, is it true?

Uh, which is more stable, a stable PC or a stable mac?

Well, um, they're both stable right?

I went down to future shop with a stopwatch and some chalk. I drew a line on the floor, yelled out "GO!" and started the watch. Neither the mac nor the PC finished the race. Verdict: Inconclusive.

macs are more reliant on proprietary parts, thus have more optimised drivers, most of which were developed in house so everything might integrate better. Just my guess though. And as for benchmarks, it really depends on which platform the benchmark is optimized for.

I don't know about stability, but tonight I saw this mac setup at Compusa and the thing kcked a@@. It had that 22inch widescreen lcd, along with clear speakers and sub. I have never owned a mac, but that thing kicked butt....:)

I saw a barbie PC that would own that. Looked sweet. Said it came with a Celeon chip and a gigameg of speed.
