Is the excel 2010 for mac the same as the excel 2010 for windows?

Interface is different.

Some small things are different as well...

But for "homework", which I'm assuming is lower than University level, you should be fine.

2011, actually.

The interface is different, and I don't think the OS X versions of Office support VBScript, but otherwise they should be feature-identical, even if the buttons are in a slightly different place.

Macros / VB work as of Office 2011. They did not work in Office 2008. I have had no problems with the simple macros that I have run (gotten from Windows/Office users) and small ones that I created on my own.

OP: They are not identical, but AFAIK, for all practical intents and purposes they are "the same".
