Is the E-POWER power supply a good one?

Very unlikely to be a good unit.

Considering that:

1) It's a "450W" PSU for $38,

2) Its main features seem to be "red paint" and "OMG BLUE LED FANS!!!!!!!!one!", and...

3) They don't list any amperage specs on the rails (this is never a good sign):

The odds of this being a high-quality PSU are slim.

I also checked out their website; this model isn't even listed! However, the specs on their other 450W PSUs seem reasonable, so maybe this one isn't quite as crappy as it might first seem. I'd still be wary given the price and lack of experience with the brand. No "Epower" or "Tagan" PSUs have been reviewed by SPCR or THG, the two sites that (IMO) do the best power-supply testing.

It's less expensive with after Newegg's free shipping deal, and I could be wrong, but it appears to be a Fortron design, which would be good. Even if I'm wrong about who makes it, it has good specs. and lots of positive reviews; that "Puma" thing has no reviews, and its specs. aren't even visible.

That seems ok, but only 18 amps on the +12v rail seems low. Thoughts?

TAGAN are actually pretty good PSUs, they just aren't marketed very well in USA. I'm not sure about the other lineups.

Alright, thanks guys.

I decided to change to a Antec True Power 380W. The 21$ difference from E-Power, I will tell my friend to take from memorys, instead OCZ PC3500 (193$) pick a PQI PC3200 (169$)
