Is the difference b/w "Your" and "You're" that difficult to grasp?

i think affect and effect are more annoying to see used incorrectly.

the your you're thing is often just because people are lazy. i know i make the mistake and often times it is just because it is easier to type ur than you're.

For those that don't know.... :D

Your = "Your car. Your house. Your stuff."

You're = "So you're going where?"

You're is an abbrev. of "you are"

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I literally despise people that cannot make the distinction between these two words. I wish I had a death ray to punish people for their use of improper spelling/grammar.

you are of course assuming that everyone that makes the mistake can't distinguish the two.

I've never thought that it was too difficult. Then again, I've never thought that to, two, and too were hard or there, their, and they're. :confused: :)
