This computer sound system is a very good quality one overall. The tweeters produce sharp and precise sound and the midranges is very good, but the only thing that I can say is bad about the system as Stealth has said is the bass that the sub produces. The sub woofer unit it is a vented style unit which means that air is allowed to flow in and out of the unit inside. This type of sub is good for slow bass type of music. If you like fast moving bass and high quality explosions when watching films or playing games then you should go for an enclosed unit which does not allow are in, because the air slows the vibrations down but does pack more punch per beat but the beats are slow. So it depends on what you like really.

Good Luck,

SKY.

I see, i have some BA 4800 here that i need to send back for warantee because they broke. I think i'll do that instead of buying a brand new set of speakers.

THanks.

I like my DTT2200's. For $130 they're hard to beat. They're a good match for the SB 5.1 live sound card.

SpeedGod,

If these are the only two you are considering between then you don't even have a hard choice. The BA4800's are the best multimedia speakers available, especially under $200. I don't want to get into the Klipsch argument with anyone, so please don't even start that in this thread, they cost $250, the BA4800's cost $139. For the price the Klipsch don't even compare. But back to the point.

Boston Acoustics has been making home theatre products for over 20 years now, a company that's been making multimedia speakers exclusively, for only a few years, simply CANNOT have the same level of product. Not to mention Boston Acoustic's customer service.

Don't believe me about their customer service? Check out this thread.

Multimedia speakers should be an investment, just like your computer, something that will last you for years to come. Spend an extra $20 on the BA4800's, these speakers will surprise, if not amaze you. Bestbuy.com has them for $139 + shipping, and I've heard outpost.com has them for $150, with free overnight shipping.
