Should i get the dell or should i get another brand? here are the specs below for the dell.

If you wait, you can probobably get a dell 2405fpw, 24" widescreen. Retail is 1200, but it often comes down to 1000 and I'm guessing that dell will start putting out some deals on it for 800. I would not buy an lcd tv, as they are way more expensive. If you just want to save some cash, I would get a 1905fpw and that HD tuner from ATi. That will run you about $400 (250 for the monitor on sale, 150 for the tuner).

interesting idea cheese.

i'm in the same boat and just started looking. i see olevia brands mentioned as well. but those are the tv/lcds, seem reasonable i think about 1200 for a 23"
