Question Is the cost of RAM going up everywhere?

It's already affecting my business. An 8 GB stick of DDR4 is $50. When you're selling refurb equipment, adding memory is driving the price, for sure.

It's a common theme. At least this dude hit it rich on youtube.

What's weird is that some RAM prices on the open market (eBay, etc) don't make any sense. There's DDR5-4800 on eBay (2x16GB) selling for the same price as DDR5-7800 (also 2x16GB). It's a little silly.

Literally saw a specific 48GB stick go from $200 to $300 to $400, now around $660...

I don't believe the overpriced parts have many real sales. I bet most purchases are by scalpers.

Does DDR2/3 even commonly exist in desirable sizes such as 16/32+ GB per stick?

I made good money as a middle man over 20 years ago. Identify a need, find a source and supply it for profit. Maybe i should buy 30 pin single in line memory modules SIMMS from the 1980s and 72 pin from the early 90s. Surely there is profit to be made.
